Chemical Composition: Stainless steel 304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, while stainless steel 316 contains 16%-18% chromium, 10%-14% nickel, and 2%-3% molybdenum.
Corrosion Resistance: Due to the presence of molybdenum in 316 stainless steel, it has better corrosion resistance, especially against acidic and alkaline substances, compared to 304 stainless steel.
